Sept 09 — The home page was revamped, and the site was restructured to better reinforce the key themes of "what is" "why do" and "how to". Screen reader navigation of the site was also streamlined.
June 09 — The vision and hearing impairment simulators were combined into a single application, which also hosts an installable version of the simulators. Some new sample images were added to the vision impairment simulator, including ones that specifically demonstrate colourblindness and short and long sightedness. A test clip was added to the hearing impairment simulator to encourage users to set their volume correctly.
April 09 — An installable version of the vision and hearing impairment simulators was launched, available to download as a full featured free trial. This free trial originally had its own web page, but is now available to download as part of the online simulator application.
April 09 — The exclusion calculator was updated with a new interface.
Feb 09 — A presentation describing the business case for inclusive design was added to the interactive resources section.
April 08 — The vision impairment simulator interface was updated to enable users to upload their own images.
March 08 — pro-formas, guidance and tools were added to the interactive resources section, in order to assist the implementation of an inclusive design process.
